Hey, I'm Lisa - your Edutainer and I'm ready to help you see through the eyes of possibility to SHINE.
What I Do
I empower and encourage people to find their inner SHINE. Using humor, props, and crowd participation, each session helps participants identify their strengths and get rid of their negative stories in order to find joy in all aspects of life.
I Coach.
As a certified John Maxwell Leadership coach, it is my highest objective to help you reach your purpose, vision and goals. Together, we will create a strategic, powerful plan for you to gain clarity in your leadership.
I Speak.
I Inspire.
Using reframing techniques, I help people live bigger. We minimize limiting beliefs and focus on creating moments of success. People walk away with plans to live 1% better everyday in order to SHINE.
What Can I Do for You?
Ignite your passion. Help you move past your fears to create action plans. Build empathetic leadership skills. Help increase your influence with others. Encourage you to communicate in ways that increase understanding> help create a motivating environment that holds people accountable. Help you live a life that you enjoy.
My Story
Growing up on a family farm, I knew the importance of hard work. The phrase “always make hay when the sun shines” was the phrase used to focus on getting things done and not procrastinating and waiting until tomorrow. Farming is hard work. It takes commitment, dedication, and a true passion to work from sun-up to sundown. It was hot and humid when having to unload wagon after wagon of fresh-cut hay. Things didn’t always go as planned (a snake on a bale, a breakdown of the bailer) but you had to learn to quickly adapt. You could count on being sweaty and filled with hay dirt and dust.
I found out early this was not my passion. I hated it. So it became my goal to find something that I loved. Something that would be fun, and climate-controlled if possible. In steps a teacher who saw in my the ability to speak with confidence in front of others. Patty Huber, my 6th-grade teacher started signing me up for speech contests and I quickly found myself in the world of communication. How could I use my strengths to tell a story and help influence others to action?
This experience taught me to overcome my fear of talking in front of people. It taught me the importance of doing it afraid. It taught me to speak with passion. In high school, my first job was in radio and I was on the air sharing fun clips of things that were going on in the world. I wanted to make people laugh and tune in and always wonder what I was going to say next. It taught me to do things that I love and in my career, I have always found myself in the people business. Waitressing, Sales, Customer Service at Walt Disney World, all gave me patience and the ability to ask questions.
During those experiences, I found many people who were unhappy. They hated coming to work and because of it, they were no fun to work with. They were always whining and complaining about everything. Some of them were even bosses of mine. Just putting in their time and not really finding any joy. I knew that I wanted to help people get re-energized. How can I see things in a new way to make it fun? What types of competitions could we do to get re-motivated with each other? I found sometimes it was their psychology that needed to be changed. Some colleagues had experienced a lot of adversity that caused them the negativity. It was important to help them reframe and build resilience.
I want the work you do to be FUN. I want you to go home at the end of your day feeling like you have achieved something. We all have a need for achievement and affiliation. Why not work with happy people who have a need for accomplishment?

I had the opportunity to attend one of Lisa’s many keynotes that she has delivered.
Within seconds I was hooked.
Lisa’s ability to make people laugh and learn a valuable message at the same time, is a great gift. This approach keeps the audience engaged, excited and wanting more.
I was able to take away concepts that I’ve incorporated into my own work, as a facilitator, with great success.
